SUSTAINABILITY

Being reliable and healthy for the employees, society, and consumers is the principles of SUSTAINABILITY where the nature is protected, natural sources are used as energy, and applicable economically. Sustainability has three basic components. These components are protecting environment, economic growths and justified improvement These notions are managed in a balanced way for ensuring sustainability.
Sustainability – organic agriculture – economic development – recycling – protecting environment – social improvement

Protecting environment
Sustainability, as a basic principle, considers that the resources found in the environment and nature are depletable and therefore focuses on using these resources via rational approaches. The integrity and flexibility of the ecosystems are protected.

Economic growth
Sustainability focuses on ensuring economic growth that would prosper the societies without damaging the environment. It is targeted to increase the prosperity of the man while good and service consumption increases.

Social improvement
Sustainability supports social improvement by also focusing on coming to a satisfactory level in the quality of health, life and education for all societies. In addition to enriching and empowering the human relationships, it is ensured that people accomplish their targets individually and as a group. When all of these components run in a harmony, the potential to cover the human wishes and needs now and in the future increases and through this, sustainable development is enabled. According to the sustainable development principles, the society should not allow decrease in prosperity in time.

Why do we care sustainability?
All living creatures are the parts of an ecosystem where they interact with each other and the other inanimate entities. All parts of an ecosystem are linked with each other in an indirect way. Therefore, if a part of an ecosystem is destroyed or damaged, the consequences would emerge, related with this, in the other parts too. The destructive influence of mankind on the natural environment has surpassed the recovery rate of the natural environment and, at this point, the need to act without damaging the balance of the ecosystem emerged. With all these reasons, primarily all enterprises, together with the industrial enterprises causing the biggest negative impact on the ecosystem must adapt the sustainability notion and continue their activities by augmenting for carrying out the proper applications. Sustainability, considering with respect to the enterprises, may be realized by integrating with a management approach where the company interests are not in conflict with the social interests, where not only growth with respect to economy, but also the social and environmental subject matters are included in the company subject matters.

WELFARE OF THE FARMERS

We give priority to purchasing directly from the farmers in cotton procurement and do contracted planting by giving seed support to the farmers.
One of the most important conditions of preserving the agricultural fields is that the agricultural activities of the producers have an economic value and that this value can be paid to them. We act with this responsibility in textiles, our main area of activity, and also provide training support to the farmers.
